Currently on the road for the first leg of their North American arena tour, TOOL have had an monumental 2023.
Last month the band began their fall run of live dates with a pair of festival headliners, delivering towering sets at both Aftershock Festival in Sacramento and joining Metallica for the inaugural Power Trip for rock and metal's variation on Coachella.
The sets would be the beginning bookend for an arena run that extend well into late November and includes Tool's first visit to Canadian soil since 2019. The demand as been so incredibly strong that Tool has already confirmed a second leg of the arena tour to begin next year - meanwhile still finishing out their first run across the country.
For their stop in Milwaukee, WI, the band pulled up the brakes at Fiserv Forum for a memorable headliner that further asserted just why the band remains so beloved. Showcasing a strong presentation of tunes from their celebrated 2019 LP, Fear Inoculum, entries like "Pneuma", "Descending" and a rendition of "Chocolate Chip Trip" that featured a dynamic drum solo from Danny Carey left fans awestruck.
Emphatically closing the show with the anthemic "Forty Six & 2" from the '96 classic Ænima, Tool proved timeless with a finale that left the arena reeling from a musical experience that could best be framed as otherworldly.
