Fo the second year, producer Ross Robinson has surfaced with his latest incarnation of the supergroup Beloved Ghouls.
Last year, just prior to Halloween, Robinson, along with creative cohorts, Derrick Green of Sepultura on vocals, Slayer/Misfits/Mr. Bungle/Suicidal Tendencies drummer Dave Lombardo, guitarist Gary Holt of Slayer and Exodus, and guest vocalist Jeremy Bolm of Touche Amore, introduced the world to the collective with the track, "Terrorized".
The track was the result of a shelved project between Lombardo, Holt and Robinson, that finally saw the light of day. What was even more significant was the motive behind finally unveiling the music. The standalone single was part fo a charity initiative to benefit the National Independent Venue Association and their ongoing efforts to help save our stages during the darkest days of the pandemic.
In what has now become a Halloween tradition, Beloved Ghouls has again rumbled up from their hibernation, with yet another scorcher of a single and another noteworthy cause as the focus. With both Holt and Lombardo returning, Gregory Coates and the legendary Chuck Billy of Testament join the ranks this time to unleash the band's second standalone cut, "Shocked".
With Robinson again at the helm, there was also a writing assist from Casey Chaos of Amen to round out what is all-star effort. The track is being released by I Am Recordings in partnership with SideOneDummy Records - with all proceeds from the track going to the Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue.
To celebrate the second annual release from Beloved Ghouls, a 7” vinyl record with "Terrorized" and "Shocked", as well as a shirt from the band are now available for pre-order from SideOneDummy.
