Well into their second decade as one of the UK's annual premiere festivals celebrating all things punk, Emo, alternative and metal, Slam Dunk has emerged from it's humble beginnings in 2006 with a single stage in Leeds to a multi-day, multi-stage, international pilgrimage.
With their North and South editions taking on Leeds and Hetfield for a full weekend on May 27th and 28th, Slam Dunk is set to welcome a dynamic pool of artists, encompassing some of the very best in their respective genres.
With the likes of The Offspring, Enter Shikari, Billy Talent, Underoath, Flogging Molly, Yellowcard, Creeper, Maggie Lindemann, Malevolence, We Came As Romans and so many more - the diversity of Slam Dunk speaks to not only their vision as organizers, but a keen ability to stay in-tune with the fans that come through the gates.
In a continued effort to further broaden their reach as an international destination for alternative art and community, Slam Dunk Festival has teamed with heavy culture advocate Knotfest for a special, designated stage on the festival footprint.
With a live slate that includes performances from Malevolence, We Came As Romans, Escape the Fate, Fit For.A King, Landmvrks, Static Dress, Dragged Under, SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Higher Power and Heriot - the programming leans on the heavier spectrum of the fest - making for a perfect fit with Knotfest.
Among the talking points associated with the artists on the Knotfest stage include the likes of Sheffield's own Malevolence who recently completed their triumph at Knotfest Australia and are currently touring in support of their lauded 2022 full length, Malicious Intent.
We Came As Romans continue to dominate in the wake of their 2022 return in Darkbloom. The album is the first since the tragic passing of vocalist Kyle Pavone, marking an important first in the most current iteration of the band.

Metalcore vets Fit For A King are riding high from last year's The Hell We Create LP. Fresh off of tours with the likes of I, Prevail and their own headlining dates, the Texas collective is expected deliver the goods at Slam Dunk.
Curating a roster of healthy emerging names, ascending sensations like Higher Power, Static Dress, Landmvrks and Church Road Records' standouts Heriot will also bolster already stacked stage.
