Rock veterans Black Veil Brides recently kicked of a new campaign with the reveal of their mid-Victorian themed cinematic visual for the title track of the pending EP, Bleeders. The single signaled the start a comprehensive effort that includes a new partnership with Spinefarm Records, in addition to the launch of the accompanying title tour.
As far as the inspirational cues that inspired Biersack, the Black Veil Brides architect attributes his affinity for the Victorian villainy of Sweeney Todd that steered him down the path to cultivate The Phantom of the Opera, Misfits, and more. Sourcing those iconic visual aesthetics for the creative direction of Bleeders, the video for the title track finds Biersack taking up the straight-blade in his latest iteration of rock spectacle.

Featured on the inaugural Spinefarm release, the Bleeders EP includes a commanding rendition of U2's "Sunday Bloody Sunday" in addition to an imaginative recount of Sweeney Todd’s "My Friends." Leaning into their thespian showcase, Black Veil Brides have debuted their powerful tribute to Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler. Premiering the Joshua Shultz-directed video exclusively via Playbill, the visual frames Biersack's full embrace of the Demon Barber from Fleet Street.

"From the first time I picked up my dad's copy of the original cast recording and heard Len Cariou's powerful and sinister portrayal of Sweeney, I was hooked on this show," says Biersack.
"As a little kid, I would insist that all my family gather around and watch me perform songs like 'My Friends' in my full homemade costume. It's beyond a dream come true to get to do a rendition of this song and collaborate with our longtime friend and visionary director Joshua Shultz on the video. We wanted to do something that felt true to the spirit of the original and all subsequent iterations while also feeling distinctly Black Veil Brides and we are thrilled with how it turned out."
Recently, BVB luminary Andy Biersack joined the On Wednesdays We Wear Black podcast to discuss Bleeders and the forecast for the band.
