Last year, Aussie powerhouse Northlane confirmed that they had reconnected with longtime friend and collaborator in producer Will Putney. Having worked on some of the band's most enduring releases, including Singularity and Node, Northlane found themselves looking to tap into that early energy of the project and sought Putney to help unearth it.

Late last year, Northlane delivered the first sample of that reestablished connection, debuting the single "Dante" and ultimately commencing their latest iteration as a band.

Now, the veteran unit have doubled down on showcasing their influences and their musical pedigree by recruiting yet another hugely influential collaborator. Working with vocalist Winston McCall of Parkway Drive, Northlane have unloaded the track, "Miasma" and officially confirmed their Mirror's Edge EP, due out April 12th of this year.

The independent effort underscores the band's continued embrace of a DIY model, only this time sourcing a select team of contributors to better achieve a new level of artistic potential.

As for the latest single, "Miasma" harkens back to Northlane's heaviest selections, brimming with weighty guitars, big percussion and an incendiary vocal attack from the tandem of Marcus Bridge and Winston McCall.

Guitarist Josh Smith spoke about the significance of having the Parkway Drive vocalist on the this EP introduction. "Parkway Drive were always our number one inspiration as a band. When we first started, their DVD created a roadmap to success, which we did our best to follow. At a time where every band was ripping their sound off, we chose to take our own path but instead emulate their work ethic, and for us it paid dividends. Over time, that respect has flowed both ways. With this track being so heavy, we could't think of a more perfect guest than Winston. He flew down from Byron just after we toured together in North America and we tracked his parts in Jon's home studio. His brute voice just tore the track to pieces and we were stunned with the result."

In addition to the launch of the new EP, Northlane is set to embark on their only Australian headlining tour of 2024. The run will include supporting sets from Erra, Landmvrks and Banks Arcade. See the list of dates and cities below.
