Punk,post-hardcore pioneers Refused have confirmed their final ever live dates, punctuating an incredible farewell tour and a legendary career. With both European tour dates and a handful of appearances in Latin America on deck, Refused have confirmed their final performances as a band will take place in their home of Sweden this December.
The final ever show will take place in Umeå, Sweden on December 21st. For the series of hometown farewell shows, Refused as recruited a diverse roster of supporting artists, friends and collaborators to celebrate the band's final go round. Among the bands confirmed to take on select dates include, Youth Code, Harrowed, Division of Laura Lee, Millencolin, Abhinanda, Fireside, Nix and Matti Alkberg.
Along with the confirmation of the very last farewell shows, Refused drummer David Sandström published a comprehensive statement discussing that these are in factm, Refused's final shows ever without any possibility of a reunion. Sandström also confirmed that out of the ashes of Refused a new band has come about with Dennis Lyxzén, guitarist Mattias Bärjed and bassist Magnus Flagge all starting anew with a project free from expectation.
