En route to the August 23rd release of their fourth, full length effort, Zeal & Ardor have confirmed an end-of-the-year North American tour in support of the LP, GREIF.
Following one of the most acclaimed releases of 2022, the anticipated for Zeal & Ardor's next installment finds architect Manuel Gagneux flanked by bandmates Tiziano Volante on guitar, Marc Obrist and Denis Wagner on vocals, Lukas Kurmann on bass and Marco Von Allmen on drums.
Assembling a unit of musicians to help materialize his creative vision, Gagneux remains fiercely hands-on - taking on the creative direction of Greif from concept to execution, serving as the project's producer as well as primary songwriter.
Thus far revealing a trio of singles in "Fend Your Off", "Clawing out" and "to my ilk", Zeal & Ardor assert a versatile range and a broad stylistic spectrum that positions them as one of the most intriguing, innovative bands in their space.
Doubling down on their brand of musical diversity, Zeal & Ardor have delivered another commanding cut from the full length with the arrival of "Hide In Shade". Shifting from vocal harmonies and handclaps, to double bass kick drums and hellacious screams, the track asserts a potent mesh underscoring the unique brand specific to Zeal & Ardor.
"We would be remiss if we didn't share something closer to what we are known for," the band states. "This is that. Where the sun shows all we hide in shade. Stay strange."
As for the band's slate of tour dates, their North American run begins November 23rd in Philadelphia, PA. Emphasizing the range of Zeal & Ardor, the tour will serve as an extension of that with a supporting roster that ranges from extreme black metal in Gaerea, to otherworldly mystics in Zetra.
