Undoubtedly one of heavy music's most exciting, emerging outfits, Slaughter to Prevail continues to add to their skyrocketing trajectory. Currently out on the road supporting Five Finger Death Punchy on their North American tour, the Russian-bred, Floridian-based collective is crushing arenas nightly and convincing a new crop of fans in the process.
Indicative of the kind of strides in popularity that band has earned in recent months, Slaughter to Prevail hosted their very first pop-up event, taking to the iconic Melrose Avenue to connect with fans and slang some limited edition merch. StP frontman Alex Terrible along with guitarist Jack Simmons held court at Headline Records to link with fans, snap photos and sign masks, jerseys and more ahead of their play at Honda Center in Anaheim.
Met with a line out the door and down the street, its evident Slaughter To Prevail has resonated with a base of fans that are not only in the know of contemporary heavy, but a community that is equally tapped into art, streetwear and the adjacent subcultures that populate Melrose Ave on the regular.
Having earned a reputation for their onstage intensity and their commitment to musical extremity, the event showcased a different, more approachable side of the masked, menacing force. Both Alex and Jack flexed a level of comfort in their increasing popularity, proving especially endearing to fans from all walks and genuinely grateful for their growing support.
