Punctuating what has been a breakout 2021, emerging Iowa antagonists Vended have revealed their highly-anticipated debut EP, What Is It / Kill It and are currently on the road for their inaugural headlining tour in support of the introduction.
The arrival was announced last month following the band's electric festival appearance as part of the monumental Knotfest Iowa festivities. Performing selections from the EP including the previously released introductory single in "Asylum" and the volatile follow-up single in "Burn My Misery," Vended's presence as heavy music's next up was reiterated with powerful singles and the kind of performances that substantiated the hype.
Just prior to the band embarking on their first headlining run, Vended was enlisted to participate in the historic Knotfest LA spectacular at Banc of California Stadium. Sharing the stage with the likes of Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon, Killswitch Engage, Fever 333, Code Orange and fiery cirque arts specialists Cherry Bombs, the prospects packed a wallop in a set that not only asserted their arrival but put the new school of heavy on notice - Des Moines' didn't come to fuck around.
The 5-track EP touts the tandem of singles that earned the band healthy recognition and also features haymakers in tracks like "Bloodline" and their live closer in "Antibody" which translates live as an all out assault bolstered by the percussive backbone of drummer Simon Crahan and the maniacal vocal venom of Griffin Taylor.
The band shares of their debut, β'What Is It / Kill Itβ is a collection of music written within the past three years that represents us. Your support means the world to us. The next generation is here, this is only the beginning. Welcome to Vended!β
The band is currently on tour with Omerta and Hazing Over in support of the release. Dates and venues can be found below.
